A friend of mine who lives in Chile, out of the country who plays FFXIV with me. He plays the game through steam and pays his sub with his steam wallet. Back in 2022 in the beginning of the year, Chile had something akin to a civil war going on where their currency wasn't able to be used without conversion to usd through another means. As a kind of a nice thing to do, I told him I would buy him a steam card like a $50 one or w/e. Anything to pay his subscription so we can continue to play together since its P2P. I went to 8.... 8 Different Gamestops in South Jersey. 3 around Deptford in my hometown. Went to the one in Somerdale, the one in West Berlin, the one in Clementon, then I went to Audubon, lastly Turnersville. I literally drove all over putting 100 miles on my car. I'd call each place and they said they have them. I get there "Oh sorry our inventory errored, we have none." They all share the same local inventory. After driiving around for hours in traffic. eventually the one in Locust Grove Plaza in my home town calls me back while I'm in Turnersville. "We just got a shipment of cards in" I run back and FINALLY got a card. Like it wasn't even just asking for a 50 dollar card. I was asking for ANY steam card of ANY VALUE.. All of them had none. You think in the age of PC gaming and steam being one of the top used pc platforms, They would have cards on hand like always?

They need to have a section on the eshop for all this garbage and you have to have an 18+ account to even see the hentai trash. The eshop is filled with this nonsense

my biggest annoyance with the E-shop is that so many A list games still remain the full price even if the game is 5 years old. Every Mario, Zelda or Pokemon game still has the highest price and rarely on discount. Playstation does know how to cater the fans as many titles get a lower price over time, specially when a game gets a sequal

I agree it's laggy but patience is a virtue. It really doesn't bother me as much as other people. I see no reason that a little lag is something to complain about.

It's working a lot like the Xbox app. Which is sad because Nintendo has had a lot more time to make it better than Microsoft with the Xbox app. It's just the "minimum viable product."

I think it has gotten worse over the years because there's so much junk on it. All Nintendo needs to do is hire 1 guy that just screens the name of a game that a dev wants approved for Eshop. So when they see something like Bum Simulator, they can say "NOPE". So many terrible games that are not gonna sell any more than 10 copies.

I learned early on to not browse on the eShop for games. I rely on my favorite RUclipsrs for game reviews and then go to the eShop and purchase the game that interests me directly that way with little to no hassle. It's like going to the grocery store with a list of specific items, in and out.

You’re probably using the switch oled because someone compared it to the 1st model of the switch and the og’s eshop runs faster than the oled

It's the EXACT same for me. Always has been. Multiple systems. Problem.

Not only does it lag but the whole page refreshes once you purchase something. Also I think the loading is garbage cause of all the rip offs or non games they put on there. If the store wasn’t over run by “games” we never heard of or shouldnt see then it might work more often.

Pretty much done got used to it doesn't bother me as long as you can buy games and add ons that's all that matters it ain't to laggy to accept them money payments that people give them

Ya that's bad mind numbingly bad... I stopped using it a long time ago. It's not bugs it's because they don't have enough server power running on the other end. Nintendo is cheap to say the least they clearly don't want to put more resources into servers to alleviate that issue... Stop using it maybe they'll throw up more servers I also agree it's bland and ugly very amateurish to say the least. Music might be a bad idea in its current state I'd want to get off there as fast as possible music would prolong the agony 😅
